The winner of the festival motif competition for Dark Season Blues 2023 was the entry made by André Martinsen.
The motif will feature on this year’s T-shirts, posters, program booklets, advertisements and other materials in conjunction with Dark Season Blues 2023.

Martinsen won in a close competition. Regarding the motive, the jury states that it contains all elements that were requested in the invitation. The jury emphasizes as particularly exciting that the characteristic Spisshusene are seen from a different angle than what we are used to. The familiar motif is put together with other icons from Longyearbyen, topped with the musical element combining a guitar and a cable car trestle.
