\nN\u00e5r Greasy Gravy kommer p\u00e5 bes\u00f8k kan publikum forvente seg klassisk soulmusikk, n\u00e6rmere bestemt musikk fra storhetstiden p\u00e5 60- og 70-tallet. Begreper som Memphis Soul, Stax, Motown, Atlantic og artister som Bobby “Blue” Bland, Otis Redding og Eddie Floyd vil f\u00e5 de fleste musikkinteresserte til \u00e5 nikke anerkjennende.<\/p>\n

Bandet ble etablert p\u00e5 begynnelsen av 2000-tallet som et rent bluesband. Siden da har bandet g\u00e5tt mer i retning av soul-musikk, men noe sjelfull blues er selvf\u00f8lgelig fortsatt blandet inn i bandets repertoar. Bandet ga i 2007 ut en sv\u00e6rt kritikerrost CD p\u00e5 Grappa\/Blue Mood.<\/p>\n

Greasy Gravy best\u00e5r av en gjeng musikere fra \u00d8stlandsomr\u00e5det som er kjent fra mange bandkonstellasjoner de siste \u00e5rene og er vel bevandret i det norske bluesmilj\u00f8et. Bandet frontes av sangeren Tom Erik Holmlund fra Hamar. Holmlunds kraftfulle og varme stemme ble f\u00f8rst kjent for folk utenfor Mj\u00f8somr\u00e5det i milj\u00f8et rund klubben Muddy Waters i Oslo og gjennom Greasy Gravy. Gitarist i bandet er Espen Liland fra T\u00f8nsberg, som har en lang merittliste innen flere stilarter. I tillegg til \u00e5 v\u00e6re fast med Linda Kvam Band blir han gjerne headhuntet n\u00e5r utenlandske soul\/blues-sangere trenger en gitarist ved Norgesbes\u00f8k. Bandets to sv\u00e6rt dyktige bl\u00e5sere er Kasper V\u00e6rnes (tenorsax\/fl\u00f8yte) og Tom Erik Antonsen (trompet). Bassist i bandet er veteranen Rune Endal, som mange vil forbinde med Vazelina Bilopph\u00f8ggers eller Vidar Busk. Vidar Busks trommeslager spiller ogs\u00e5 i Greasy Gravy; Alexander Pettersen er i tillegg til \u00e5 v\u00e6re fast bak trommene i Billy T Band en mye brukt freelancemusiker.<\/p>\n

Singer from Tonsberg has collaborated with Greasy Gravy on several occasions. She has more than 25 years experience from the scene and has for years been considered one of the country’s top female crossover rock \/ country \/ soul vocalists with her\u00a0great empathy and powerful voice. Many remember Linda from various television programs, perhaps especially as a guest in Beat for Beat on several occasions, most recently in January 2015. Besides having her own band, she is currently touring around Norway with \u00c5ge Sten Nilsen-in show “Rock ‘n Roll Adventure “.<\/p>\n

Linda Kvam’s first album “Refused” was released in 1998. Since then, she has participated on several other albums with artists like Frode Aln\u00e6s, Stephen Ackles, Lars Martin Myhre, Levi Henriksen, Jan Werner and Odd B\u00f8rretzen. She is also an avid songwriter, which can be heard on her latest album “Anything For Love”.<\/p>\n
