The band Silo from Bremanger in Nordfjord took home the victory in the final of the 2016 Union Blues Cup, which was held during the Notodden Blues Festival. <\/p>\n
The four young musicians are now touring blues clubs as the Union Blues Band under the auspices of the Norwegian Blues Union. Silo has been around since the summer of 2014. As part of the prize, they will perform at the Notodden Blues Festival the following year. The band writes its own music but also plays its own versions of well-known songs by artists such as Freddie King, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and others. Silo consists of Halvor Nesbakk on vocals, Iver Strand Senneset on guitar, Oliver Igland on drums, and Bartek Galek on bass. <\/p>\n
