This year they can be experienced both under their own name and as a backing band for John N\u00e9meth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">JT &amp; Co. has for a long time been one of the big names within the extended Norwegian blues family with his mix of blues and soul mixed with a few doses of Tex Mex and Cajun.\n\nJan Tore Lauritsen (JT for short) started on organ (B3) but since 1989, both the accordion and the blues harp have been his trademark instruments.  In 1991, J.T. founded The Buckshot Blues Band. In 1995 the band changed their name to The Buckshot Hunters, and they released their debut album, &#8220;Buckshot Hunters&#8221;.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2014, Jan Tore received the Notodden Blues Award. The following year he and the band were able to score a third place during the European Blues Challenge (EBC) in Brussels, and in 2017 there was a semi-final place in the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis.
