Yngve & his Boogie Legs is a young jump blues\/rockabilly band from Voss. They started as a Stray Cats-inspired trio with guitar, drums, and double bass in 2009. The following year, the trio expanded into a quartet with harmonica and guitar, and in the summer of 2011, the quintet was completed with a like-minded musician from Mandal on keyboards. Since its inception, the band has focused more on original songs in the jump blues and classic rock \u2019n\u2019 roll styles, while also performing fresh interpretations of artists such as T-Bone Walker, Mose Allison, and Muddy Waters. <\/p>\n

In the summer of 2011, Yngve & His Boogie Legs won the Union Blues Cup<\/a>, following a series of tournaments across Western and Eastern Norway since the competition began in 2009. Starting in 2012, the band can be called Union Bluesband 2012<\/g>, \u201cOne of the major highlights of Vossa Jazz 2012\u201d<\/x>vossajazz.no<\/g><\/g>, and is currently on an extensive tour of Norway organized by the Norwegian Blues Union<\/g>. <\/p>\n

Yngve & his Boogie Legs are sure to get the party started, whether you choose to tap your feet in the far corner of the room or prefer to dance to the swinging rhythms of five men in suits in their early 20s.<\/strong><\/p>\n
