Dark Season Blues launches three new artists offering fierce American blues, northern Norwegian rock and captivating soul.
Kat Riggins (US)
Kat Riggins draws on R&B, soul, gospel and rock, but is first and foremost a “blues woman”. Through her “Blues Revival Movement” she wants to show how deep the roots of the blues run. The Miami-born artist has a powerful voice reminiscent of Koko Taylor and Tina Turner. With her new album REVIVAL, she shows that the blues is still alive and well.
Blue & Raw (NO)
Ever since 1991, Blått & Rått from Troms have been a pillar of northern Norwegian rock history. They combine rootsy rock ‘n’ roll with melodic blues rock and northern Norwegian lyrics, and call their extensive concert activities “The never ending tour”. Their longevity, many releases and infectious joy of playing have given them a loyal fan base for several generations.
Bonnie and The Jets (NO)
Award-winning Bonnie and The Jets was established in 2019 by singer and songwriter Caroline “Bonnie” Bonnet. Drawing inspiration from Motown, Stax and ELO, the band creates an energetic blend of retro rhythms and modern rock. Their debut album from 2022 received a lot of attention, especially with the song “Endless Summer”, which won “Best Song of the Year” on British Radio WigWam. The band is constantly moving forward with both nostalgia and innovation.
