Rick Estrin & The Nightcats are finally coming to Svalbard—and now with two Norwegian members.
This is blues at its finest. Estrin is an award-winning harmonica player, singer, and songwriter who has collaborated with “everyone”—from Muddy Waters to J.J. Cale.
Kid cut his teeth as a guitarist with Muddy Waters in Oslo, and was subsequently brought over to the U.S. by another artist with ties to Svalbard, Terry Hanck. Kid has been nominated several times for Best Guitarist at the annual Blues Music Awards in Memphis. He has also produced a number of albums in his studio in San Jose, California, where the band’s latest album, “Groovin’ In Greaseland,” was recorded.
