Stina Stenerud began her singing career in the blues and jazz genres. Over time, she felt a strong urge to lead her own project featuring her own songs, and in 2009 she released her debut album, *Kissing Fools*. Stina Stenerud & her Soul Replacement offer original Scandinavian soul with a modern sound—and a unique twist.
With an unabashed love for the genre’s older roots, you’re invited on an energetic and playful journey through soul, funk, and gospel. Stina’s voice is a perfect fit for this genre: bursting with energy and raw when needed, but also warm and heartfelt. During this year’s Dark Season Blues, you can experience her both on the club stage and during the concert at Svalbard Church. Joining her in Svalbard are Stian Haslie on guitar, Ole Martin Thorset on drums, Torjus Eggen on bass, and Kristian Wentzel on keyboards.
