-the world’s northernmost blues festival!
From October 22 to 25, Longyearbyen will be filled with a true blues atmosphere when Dark Season Blues takes place for the 23rd time. The festival marks the start of the dark season with four days filled with music, community, and unique concert experiences in an Arctic setting.
This year’s lineup features a number of big names from Norway and abroad, including Sugaray Rayford, Mike Farris & The Fortunate Few, Kid Andersen, Grayson Capps, Baskery, J.T. Lauritsen & The Buckshot Hunters, Mike Andersen, Laura Chavez, Krissy Matthews, and Ben Poole.
Experience concerts at some of Longyearbyen’s most distinctive venues, such as Gruve 3, Huset, Longyearbyen Kulturhus, and Svalbard Church. You can also look forward to the traditional blues dinner at Gruvelageret, intimate club concerts, blues lunches, and a variety of other musical experiences throughout the festival weekend.
