Advent Bay Poolboys was started earlier this year, encouraged by the local blues society, Longyearbyen Bluesklubb. Their debut at Dark Season Blues Festival will be with a handful of tracks within the blues/blues rock genre, inspired by, among others, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Luther Allison and Gary Clark jr.

The members have background from local bands like Blåmyra Bluegrass, Howlin ‘Huskies and Trio Grande and also from choir and big band.
The band features Thomas Nilsen (vocals), Trond Breen (guitar / vocals), Ørjan Vingen (bass), Jon Gunnar Hansen (guitar) and Andreas Hegermann Riis (drums).
