Few artists in Norway have more faithful fans than Reidar Larsen, and he is a favorite among our festival guests. The last time he visited Dar Season Blues he came alone, but this time he has his Storytellers – Arne Skage jr. (guitar), Knut Hem (drums) and Olaf Kamfjord (bass).
Reidar Larsen’s first album, the solo album “I’m a Bluesman” was released in 1982. In 2009 he released his first Norwegian-language album, which earned him and the band a Blues Award in the Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannprisen). The year before he was honored in the “Blues Walk of Fame” on the Notodden Square during the Notodden Blues Festival.
