In Longyearbyen, Svalbard, we have a versatile and skilled installation department. The department has ample capacity with a staff of 10 professionals, including engineers/case managers and high- and low-voltage technicians. The department also has its own lift and eight service vehicles. The department is responsible for the operation of the high- and low-voltage systems on Svalbard.
The Electrical Department in Svalbard was taken over by Svalbard Servicesenter AS on September 1, 2000. Svalbard ServiceSenter AS was a subsidiary of Svalbard Samfunnsdrift, a wholly owned state-owned corporation under the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
