Vanessa Collier is an energetic American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her fusion of blues, soul and R&B. Her sixth album, Do It My Own Way, draws inspiration from the classic Memphis soul sound of Stax and Hi Records, with a warm, analog sound that lets the groove and horns shine. Through strong vocal performances and passionate saxophone playing, she conveys raw power and sensitivity in songs that range from funk and gospel to Americana. Collier is a twelve-time nominee and four-time winner of the Blues Music Awards, including Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year and B.B. King Entertainer of the Year.
