ORBO & The Longshots were formed in 2000. They won the Spellemann Award in 2008 for their album “High Roller”.
ORBO stands for Ole Reinert Berg-Olsen, and he is joined on stage by Ine Tumyr, Reidar Opdal, Paul Inge Vikingstad, and Stian Tumyr. Together, they form one of Norway’s hardest-working live bands. After ten years of endless driving, wet asphalt, and a high-octane tour bus, the band has mastered their craft from the ground up.
ORBO & The Longshots have recorded their albums across the Wild West, from the Hardangervidda plateau to the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. After nearly 1,000 concerts, they have opened for acts such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Little Feat, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and performed a duet with Delbert McClinton. They were also once booked directly by Eric Cantona to open the Beach Soccer World Cup in Marseille, France. In addition, The Heartbreakers are on their list of fans.
