Spoonful of Blues draws packed houses at Norwegian blues clubs and festivals, and is performing internationally with increasing frequency. The band most recently enjoyed great success when they performed at the Tampa Bay Blues Festival in Florida in the summer of 2019. In addition to their own critically acclaimed album releases, the guys from Notodden have also been involved in three albums that have garnered attention at the Blues Music Awards in the U.S.
It has now been two decades since the band made their debut with “Three Car Garage.” Since then, they have released several albums and built up a large and enthusiastic following through their high-energy concerts. With a strong catalog of original songs, Morten Omlid (guitar), Jostein Forsberg (vocals/harmonica), Eskil Aasland (drums), and Tony Caddle (bass) are guaranteed to create a great atmosphere in any setting. Spoonful of Blues is currently in the studio recording a new album, with singles scheduled for release this fall and the album launch after the New Year, and they have new songs and a finely tuned show to tempt audiences with at Dark Season Blues. Spoonful of Blues are apparently willing to sell their souls to ensure that people have an unforgettable experience at their concerts.
