Johanna Dahl Bryne visited Dark Season Blues last year as a member of the soul-rock band Bonnie And The Jets. This year, she returns as a solo artist, backed by an outstanding lineup of blues musicians. Just take a look at who will be accompanying the vocalist in Longyearbyen: Christoffer “Kid” Andersen (guitar) from Rick Estrin & The Nightcats, along with Bill Troiani (bass) and Alexander Pettersen (drums) from the Billy T Band.
Johanna has a diverse musical background rooted in jazz, soul, blues, and big band music, and has worked as a vocalist in a wide range of settings for many years. Among other accomplishments, she has performed with the Prime Time Orchestra and has sung backing vocals for Adam Douglas and, of course, Bonnie And The Jets.
Audiences can look forward to a concert centered around blues, soul, and roots music, performed by musicians who bring depth, dynamic energy, and a genuine passion for the genre.
