Stein Stokke & The Engine (NO)

Stein Stokke & The Engine is a well-oiled blues machine made up of highly experienced musicians. Stein has been making music since the 1960s, and through decades of fronting several bands he has established himself as a distinctive blues artist, well known for his raw and powerful, but also soulful voice and his personal harmonica expression. He is probably the only one who also plays Jew’s harp and baritone (euphonium) in a blues band! Stein writes most of the lyrics and melodies himself, co-arranged by The Engine, with his roots deeply rooted in the rich soil of the blues.

The Engine consists of Trond Eliassen (guitar/slide), who also holds the role of producer and sound engineer on the band’s releases and Stokke/Eliassen Blues Duo, Rune Bryn (drums), with a long CV as a backing drummer in many bands and for Norwegian musicians, and Borgar Skoveng (bass), with extensive experience as a permanent band member and studio and session musician.
