Teresa James (US)

Teresa James

Teresa James was eight years old when she and her father entered a talent contest back home in Houston—both played guitar, and she sang. They won the local round, and the young girl decided right then and there that this was what she wanted to do.

She now lives in Los Angeles and is often compared to great singers such as Janis Joplin, Etta James, and Bonnie Raitt. James has also been described as the female Delbert McClinton. She has shared the stage with a number of legendary artists over the years and has released eight albums since her debut in 2003. Last year, “Come On Home” was released by Teresa James and the Rhythm Tramps.

In Svalbard, she is backed by the Billy T Band. Get ready to enjoy Teresa’s powerful voice and a delightful mix of soul, Texas blues, country, and rock.
