Parts of Daniel Eriksen’s fall tour have been canceled, and unfortunately, Daniel Eriksen will not be performing at Dark Season Blues this year.
We deeply regret this, and we hope he will be able to visit Svalbard at a later date.
Through extensive touring and hard work, Daniel Eriksen has earned a reputation as an outstanding slide guitarist. He has toured across multiple continents with his blend of swinging Delta blues and steamy New Orleans rhythms. Whether on a club tour through Mississippi, at Norwegian blues clubs, or at European blues and jazz festivals, Daniel always delivers.
Eriksen has shared the stage with and opened for artists such as B.B. King, John Mayall, Robert Plant, Eric Sardinas, Roy Rogers, and Omar & The Howlers. He has also performed with artists such as Rick Danko, Lazy Lester, Linda Gail Lewis, Grayson Capps, Phil Guy, James Harman, Curtis Eller, Vidar Busk, Reidar Larsen, and many more.
In 2006, Eriksen released his debut album “Ya Ya” to rave reviews, earning a six out of six rating from Radio Ung and several five-star reviews from newspapers. The album has sold 5,000 copies. The follow-up, “Muddy Days,” was released in 2010 and received similarly positive reviews.
