
Soul and blues singer Tad Robinson was born and raised in New York City. In addition to being an outstanding vocalist, he is also a talented harmonica player and songwriter.
After studying music at the Indiana University School of Music, he moved to Chicago in 1982 to further his education in the world of blues. The band he started with Steve Freund, Marty Binder, and Harland Terson was the house band at Rosa’s for three years and also played regularly at many other clubs in the city, until Tad moved back to Indiana in 1998. Since then, in addition to frequent touring in the U.S., he has toured extensively in Europe and Canada, among other places.
Tad Robinson has been nominated for a total of seven Blues Music Awards since 2005 and was nominated for the 2011 Blues Music Awards in the categories “Soul Blues Album of the Year” and “Soul Blues Male Artist of the Year.”
