Linda Gail Lewis is coming to Svalbard to perform some authentic 1950s rock ‘n’ roll.

Linda Gail has performed in Svalbard before, during Dark Season Blues 2010, and many were impressed by the joy and intensity this vibrant lady from Louisiana brought to the stage. The feedback was clear: we had to bring her back. Now you have another chance to dance the night away to a wild rock ’n’ roll and boogie-woogie show over two nights at Barentz Pub.Bringing along to Svalbard, Linda Gail has a brand-new album, “Gas Station Flowers, “ which was released in March of this year.

At just 14 years old, she began touring with her older brother Jerry Lee Lewis, laying the foundation for her legendary status and the nickname “The Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll.”
Throughout her long career, she has also performed with greats such as Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, and Van Morrison.
She has released over 20 albums, several of which feature collaborations with artists such as the Firebirds, Van Morrison, and Jerry Lee Lewis.

When Linda Gail takes the stage, the audience is taken on a journey through songs by artists who have had a major impact on rock ’n’ roll—the artists who were there “when it all began.”
She also performs songs from her collaboration with Van Morrison, as well as songs from her own albums.

It’s going to be a lively show full of great stories, with the energetic Linda Gail Lewis at the keyboard.
