Adam is a hard-working man, all year round. His concert appearances range widely, from rock clubs, jazz festivals to summer festivals and cultural centers. All year round and to the annual pre-Christmas tour of the largest concert halls with “An American Holiday”. His live presence, empathy, insane guitar work and rare musicality have earned him fans. Last fall he released the album “Dancing For The Moon”. The first songs for a new album are already out. In concert, you can experience everything from brand new songs to the most famous from his previous releases. This year, Adam is on the road with several different line-ups, and for Dark Season Blues he will play duo with drummer Torjus Gisnås Nevland. Thursday’s concert with the two is the only one during the festival.
Adam grew up in Oklahoma, USA, and has drawn a lot of inspiration from there through Howlin’ Wolf and Ray Charles’ flirtation with the country genre. He mixes soul, gospel, jazz and roots in his music. Since his solo debut in 2013, he has released several critically acclaimed albums, and he really sang his way into the hearts of the Norwegian people when he won “Stjernekamp” on NRK in 2017. In 2021, he received his first Spellemann Award for the studio album “Better Angels”, and the following year he was awarded the NBF Blues Award.
