Quique Gomez (ES)

Madrid-born Quique Gómez has taken the blues around the world with his soulful voice and expressive harmonica style. He has shared the stage with blues legends, and toured five continents with his band Quique Gómez & His Vipers.

Gómez started playing the harmonica at the age of 18. Just two years later, he started his first band, which toured Spanish stages for over a decade. He studied while running a small club, but his passion for the blues led him further and further out into the world. In 2008 he traveled to Chicago, where he got to know some of the biggest blues stars. This was the start of an international career with concerts on five continents, including with John Primer, Eddie C. Campbell and Jimmy Burns. With his regular band, Quique Gómez & His Vipers, he has released several albums. Last year’s “Cooking at Greaseland” with Gómez and Little Charlie Baty was recorded in San Jose, California, with Kid Andersen as producer and guitarist and Alexander Pettersen on drums. It was Baty’s last recording before he passed away. Pettersen is part of Billy T Band, backing Gómez during Dark Season Blues.
